- New York JFK Airport Car Hire - New York JFK Airport car rental -

John F Kennedy Airport (JFK) is New York's busiest airport, handling over 30 million passengers each year through nine terminals. JFK International Airport currently hosts over 80 airlines traveling to domestic and international destinations.

Located 15 miles (24 kilometers) southeast of downtown Manhattan in the New York City borough of Queens, JFK Airport offers excellent facilities for travelers and transport links to Manhattan.

- San Francisco Airport Car Hire - San Francisco Airport car rental -

San Francisco Airport (SFO) is one of the USA's busiest airports, handling both domestic flights and international connections for the Pacific Rim, Europe, and Latin America. Located 14 miles (22 kilometers) south of San Francisco, San Francisco International Airport serves the cosmopolitan city of San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and the wider Bay Area.

San Francisco International Airport has four terminals, including the much praised international terminal, three of which handle domestic and Canada-bound flights. An internal transit system, AirTrain, links together the various parts of the airport.

- Alabama Airport Car Hire - Alabama Airport car rental -

Birmingham International Airport in Alabama is a busy airport, serving more than 3 million passengers annually. Located 5 miles from Birmingham, Alabama, the airport serves a limited selection of US airlines, with about 10 departures a day to North American, Mexican and Caribbean destinations. Considerable investment over the past decade has upgraded the runways, terminal, and parking facilities, as well as airport security.

The airport uses one terminal that houses two concourses (concourse B and C). The airport is served by ten airlines, with four regional carriers and six major carriers.

- New York Newark Airport Car Hire - New York Newark Airport car rental -

Located in New Jersey, Newark Airport is 16 miles from midtown Manhattan. Over 30 million passengers pass through Newark Airport annually.

Getting from EWR to Manhattan (and back):

Air Train: The Air Train offers connecting service to NJ Transit and PATH trains which will bring you into Manhattan. Surprisingly, this can actually be much quicker than taking a cab or bus, and it is much more affordable. $11.55 one way will bring you from Newark Airport to Penn Station.
Rental Cars: Consult this list of rental car companies serving LGA if you need to rent a car. I discourage visitors to New York City from renting cars, unless they're planning extensive travel outside of the major metropolitan area. Parking is both expensive and difficult to find, and you will find your money better spent on mass transit and taxis.

Driving Directions
The airport is located just off the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway-1) and Highway-42, near the intersection of Freeways-405 and -105 (Highway-1 is also called Lincoln Boulevard just north of the airport and is called Sepulveda Boulevard just south of the airport). From Los Angeles, take Freeway-405 south, turn off onto either Highway-42 or Freeway-105 west, and follow signs to the airport. Traffic is heavy at peak times and the airport recommends using public transport.

Car Rental
About 40 companies serve the airport, with offices located off-site. These, which include all major car hire companies such as Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz and National, can be contacted via courtesy telephone links inside or near the baggage reclaim areas on the Arrivals level of all terminals. Free shuttles transport passengers to the car company; the shuttles depart from designated areas on the Arrivals level islands in front of each terminal.
